It is in this context, that the Rio Tinto WA Future Fund was established. One of the key aims of the Fund is to make Western Australia a better place in which to live and work.

The Rio Tinto WA Future Fund views Western Australia as its community, in recognition of the importance of the mining sector to WA and Rio Tinto's role in creating a sustainable future for the state.
